Mucha Salsa this week!

Posted on November 15th, 2011

Hi Friends! Sorry I went MIA for a while. I just got back to the island from 3 weeks in the US and found out that this week is FULL of Salsa in Cozumel! News just in about the Festival de la Cultura del Caribe. It starts tomorrow Wed. Nov. 16 and runs through Fri. Nov. 18 here on the island. Events include bands, dancers, and performances and are all to be held FREE in Park Quintana Roo. Click here for the full schedule. Be sure not to miss Willy Chirino's concert on Thursday. He puts on a great show.

Friday night hails the return of my group salsa class at La Palapita den Medio. Class starts at 10pm and is still the best value around for only $5 dollars! Afterwards Angelito de la Salsa is confirmed to play. Their band has been on break for a while so they should come back all charged up this weekend. Rumor has it that Ty Sawyer may show up for Friday's class with a film crew that's taping his new TV show. Participate Friday and you may be a new TV star!

Then on Saturday Nov. 19th, the Aventura Dance Cruise arrives to Cozumel. The party starts at 1pm at the Senor Frogs in the International Cruise Ship Port. 400 dancers are expected to attend. There will be world class salsa dancers everywhere! Security is tight as always at this location and it will be difficult to get into the Port. There are special tickets available to get into this event so let me know if you need information to attend.

And don't forget that Aquino's band is back at Playa Azul this Sunday Nov 20th. Your next chance to dance with Aquino at Playa Azul won't be until December since the event is cancelled next week due to Iron Man. Come this Sunday to get your Playa Auzl Salsa Sunday fix!

Que vive la Salsa!
